Diameter d

The cross-sectional diameter of a round staple leg, in mm.

Width b_staple

The cross-sectional width of a square staple leg, in mm.

Height h_staple

The cross-sectional height of a square staple leg, in mm.

Length l

The length of the staples, in mm.

Angle with member 1 θ₁

The angle of the axis of the staple crown with the axis of the first member, in degrees.

Predrilling

This box has to be checked if predrilling is performed.

Note that predrilling is mandatory in a number of design cases.

Rope effect

This box has to be checked if the rope effect is to be taken into account in the determination of the load carrying capacity of the fasteners, according to Subclause 8.2.2(2).
